Detpak Group Invests in New Manufacturing Facility in India
The Detmold Group is significantly expanding its presence in India, with the construction of a state-of-the-art manufacturing and warehousing facility in Chatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra.
Located 370km east of Mumbai, the region is a growing industrial hub attracting significant domestic and international investment.
Detmold Group CEO, Sascha Detmold Cox, explained the new plant will greatly assist in meeting the Group’s global growth aspirations.
“Our new Indian factory will continue to support existing customers whilst enabling growth in key markets including Europe, the Middle East, the Americas and locally in India,” Ms Detmold Cox said.
“This investment will bring our existing Indian operations together into one location, considerably increasing efficiency and providing our teams an enviable place to work.”
The purpose-built facility spans more than 19,000 square metres of operational floor space, creating immediate additional capacity and capability for future expansion.
The new site is tailored for energy efficiency and designed with consideration of local conditions with a purposeful focus on insulation performance, passive and active ventilation, and electronic monitoring and management systems.
“As part of this move, we fully sponsored relocation costs for our current employees and their families, and we are delighted the majority of our workforce is moving with us. Ensuring continuity of employment for our passionate and skilled team remains a key priority,” Ms Detmold Cox said.
The paper plant has been fully operational since late June.
