What's the difference between single wall and double wall coffee cups?

Single wall cups have one layer of paperboard and usually need a separate cardboard sleeve to protect customers from the heat. Double wall coffee cups have two layers of paper with an insulating air pocket between them, providing better heat retention, a softer feel in the hand, and no need for a sleeve.
